How will I know you are the right designer for me?

Answer

You can start by taking a look at the examples of our work on the portfolio page and reading reviews from our past clients. If you are interested in working together then you may schedule a phone call so we can get to know each other. Design is a personal business, so we offer intro calls free of charge to ensure we're a good fit.

Question 2

Can you tell me about your process when designing a whole room?

Answer

The process may seem complicated, but we guide you every step of the way for as long as you need our help. Here's a simplified breakdown of how we’ll work together. First, we’ll get to know you and your design goals through an in-depth questionnaire about how you live and what you want to accomplish. We'll ask a lot of questions about who uses the room and how is it used. You might also share any inspiration images you have gathered or show us around your house and explain what you like, and don’t like, about the design. Next, we’ll take an “inventory” of your current home, measuring all relevant details in the room, like windows, doors, furniture and architecture. After collecting measurements and learning about your needs, we’ll create a design plan. We’ll create 2D floor plans and 3D drawings to show you the layout, the pieces we recommend, and the style that works best within the space. Once we review and finalize a plan together we'll be ready to start implementing it!

I'm not sure how to set a budget. Can you help with that?

Answer

We can! We'll discuss this early on when we begin the project. We are super flexible, realistic, and creative throughout the process to keep you comfortable and guide you along the way.

Question 4

I just need a little design advice, do you do small projects or consultations?

Answer

Whether you’re redesigning a room or just changing some of your finishes, we are happy to assist with a little design help on an hourly basis. We're available for consultation for as few as two hours.

Question 5

Where do you buy your furnishings?

Answer

We source from many different locations—some of which are retail sources and others are designer-only showrooms or services. Once we begin working together we'll determine which sources make the most sense for you.

How much does this cost?

Answer

You're in control of your budget and we're here to help you make the best decisions possible. Throughout the process we'll keep you updated and procide guidance.

Question 7

I have no idea what design or styles I like, how can you help me with my project?

Answer

You are not alone! Many of our clients feel this way, and we pride ourselves on getting to know you and what design will work best for you and your space. This is truly a partnership and we can ensure you we'll have fun along the way!

My partner and I don’t have the same style, can you help?

Answer

Of course. It’s rare to find a partners who agree on everything, so we’re here to make that process easier. First we’ll advise you and your partner on what works in the space, and then we’ll explain WHY it works. Through our years of experience we have found this to be the most successful way to settle differences of opinions about a space. All opinions matter to us and we want to assure you that we will be very attuned to everyone's needs.

Question 9

I need to paint and want some advice on colors, can you help with that?

Answer

Yes, we are more than happy to! We can look at your existing furnishings and fixtures and give you suggestions on how to pull it together with your paint colors.

Question 10

I have a hard time visualizing, how will I understand what I am going to get?

Answer

That's a very common concern. We have sophisticated computer programs that allow us to show you what your new space will look like in 3D. It even allows us to show you different fabrics and colors in the space. We can get as detailed as needed so you're comfortable with your decisions.
